I’m very hot and cold when it comes to smoothies. Sometimes I’m all about them, and sometimes I feel like I’d rather eat dirt. But if you change the name of the game and call it a milkshake – well, then I’m all in! So this cookies and cream smoothie milkshake thing is sort of meeting in the middle between a breakfast protein smoothie and a health-ified dessert milkshake. It defiantly tastes “health-ified” (aka. you can still taste some banana, and no oreos are involved.) But I really, really love the flavor! It’s creamy and smooth and rich and filling and crunchy and delicious.
So yes, there is banana in this thing and you can still taste it among the other flavors. It’s subtle, but I just want to be upfront about it. I don’t want anyone to be like, “YOU PROMISED ME AN OREO IN A GLASS AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS STUPID BANANA.” Not that anyone would actually say that sentence, but you get it. The sentiment is there. Don’t go expecting Dairy Queen blizzards up in here. This is health-ified decadence. (I think it’s better this way!)
Now I know you have to ask: are you supposed to have this for breakfast or as a dessert? Good question! I think both or neither or whatever you want! ‘Cause guess what??? Your life has no rules! Isn’t that exciting? So you can drink dessert for breakfast or breakfast for dessert or have a sweet afternoon snack drink. It doesn’t matter! Be a food rebel. I dare you.
