Espresso French Toast

This Espresso French Toast is made by brewing espresso beans in the OXO 8-Cup Coffee Maker and adding it to the batter for a next-level breakfast experience!

  • 2 Eggs
  • C Strong Coffee We suggest brewing 90g espresso beans with 6 C water
  • ½ C Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • tsp Salt
  • 2-4 tbsp Butter
  • 8 Bread Sliced 1” thick
  • Maple Syrup for serving


  1. Begin by brewing a strong pot of coffee in the OXO 8-Cup Coffee Maker. We suggest using 90 grams ground espresso beans with 6 cups water. This will leave you with extra coffee for drinking alongside your french toast!

  2. Combine eggs, coffee, cream, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl, whisk to combine.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium low heat. Transfer batter to a tray.
  4. Place bread into batter and allow each side to soak up some batter.
  5. Add a tablespoon or two of butter to the skillet and once it has melted begin to add the battered bread, take care not to overload the pan.
  6. Cook each side for about a minute or until it has become nicely browned.
  7. Transfer to a plate and serve right away, with maple syrup, extra butter, and a cup of fresh coffee.
  8. If, you need to cook a larger amount in batches, heat your oven to 200℉, and place the finished pieces of toast on a tray in the oven to keep warm until all are ready.
